🇸🇪 PART 2 — THE RESTORATION GETS SERIOUS! 🔨

Welcome back to the restoration of this remarkable circa 1920 Scandinavian table, discovered forgotten in a basement in Halmstad, Sweden, before making its way to our workshop in the UK.

In Part 1, we introduced the table and began uncovering just how much work was hiding beneath the surface.

Now in Part 2, we're getting into the difficult stuff.

Years of age, damage and deterioration have taken their toll, and restoring a piece like this isn't simply a case of sanding it down and making it shiny again.

The challenge is to repair what needs repairing while preserving the original craftsmanship, walnut, character and history of the table.

And sometimes that means making decisions where there isn't an obvious right answer.
