The Final Reveal! French Polishing the Walnut Bookcase | Part 5 of 5

The walnut bookcase is finally finished! In Part 5 of our five-part restoration series, Marc and Lucien bring the whole EA3730 project together, complete the French polishing and reveal the finished piece.

After the repairs, stripping, grain filling, sanding and staining in the earlier episodes, it’s time for the final finishing touches. Watch the polishing bring out the rich walnut colour and figured grain, with close-up work on the fittings and the completed bookcase at the end.

This Scandinavian mid-century walnut bookcase has taken us through five episodes of hands-on furniture restoration and refinishing. Join Marc and Lucien for the final chapter, and see how all that workshop work comes together.
