The restoration of this beautiful 19th-century oval table continues — and this time, Lucian craftsmanship takes centre stage!

In Part 3 of 4, Lucian carefully repairs major splits, replaces missing veneer and uses traditional chiselling and carving techniques to rebuild damaged areas by hand. It’s incredibly skilled work, with plenty of satisfying close-up craftsmanship along the way.

Marc is behind the camera, chatting with Lucian about the repairs, the challenges and the techniques being used. By the end of this episode, the table is one big step closer to being ready for staining and polishing.
